Samples from patient’s eyes suffering from infections are seen tested for micro-organisms in our in-house lab and also sent for cross examination to an ocular microbiologist, where the infectious organism from the patient’s eye is cultured, identified and the response to various antibiotics is checked in the lab itself, taking the guess work out of the treatment process.
The eye of every patient suffering from corneal ulcers or infection is photographed on every visit to the cornea clinic to document and evaluate the response to treatment.
